This bit is great for horses that don't respond to the pressure of the bit. It put more presure on the curb chain instead of the mouthpiece. Also for the horse that pulls hard onthe bit.  Along with the many different mouthpieces this is a bit that can be used on many different horses. 6 .25 inch width is standard with this bit.
